Learning Pleasure, Healing Intimacy — My Conversation on the Heal Thy Self Podcast
When I was invited to join the Heal Thy Self podcast, I knew it would be a meaningful conversation. The show is all about empowerment — giving you the tools and knowledge to become your highest self on every level. They “lead you to water,” and then encourage you to deep dive in. That’s my kind of mission.
Pleasure Is Learned, Not Lucky
One of the most important truths I’ve discovered in my work is that pleasure is not something you’re simply born knowing how to access — it’s learned. Our capacity for pleasure grows when we explore it, nurture it, and remove the obstacles that get in the way.
On the show, I shared how every body — regardless of age, gender, or past experiences — has access to many different types of pleasure. We just have to learn how to unlock them. Too often, intimacy is treated like a performance rather than what it truly is: a mindful, embodied connection between partners.
Releasing Emotional Roadblocks
Many of us carry invisible emotional barriers from past relationships, trauma, or even cultural conditioning. These can limit our ability to experience connection and fulfillment fully. We talked about how to gently release those barriers and create space for deeper intimacy — starting with one simple, powerful question in the bedroom:
“What feels good today?”
This question honors the truth that our bodies change, our desires shift, and intimacy thrives when we meet each other in the present moment.
Genital Health & Aging
We also explored how aging impacts genital health for both men and women — and how there are so many supportive therapies available to keep our sexual vitality strong for life.
I shared insights into:
-
Hormone therapies to balance desire and function
-
Red light therapy for blood flow and tissue regeneration
-
Vacuum devices (VEDs) — including how I’ve guided over 20,000 men to improve penile volume
-
Supplements that support overall sexual health and vitality
It’s not about “fixing” aging — it’s about supporting our bodies so pleasure can remain vibrant throughout every stage of life.
Beyond the Physical: Emotional Intimacy
While I love the science and the tools, my core message remains simple: emotional intimacy is as important as physical intimacy. Mindful bedroom practices, honest communication, and shame-free exploration strengthen bonds and create lasting connection.
This episode was an invitation to drop the performance, embrace the present, and see intimacy as a healing, joyful part of life.
